FAQ

The LinkedIn Torah Community is a private forum on LinkedIn for discussion and networking among Bnei and Bnos Torah

For English speaking professionals who utilize LinkedIn (or want to) and who are committed to a Torah lifestyle, from across the spectrum. Whether you identify as Chasidish, Yeshivish, Dati Leumi, Ashkenazi, Sefardi- if you are trying to grow in Avodas Hashem while working for your parnasah, your place is with us!

Networking doesn’t require “mingling.” It’s about connecting with people and expanding your professional circles, getting to know people who you can help and from whom you can receive help. It is definitely possible to develop professional connections without developing social friendships.

The event will have 3 parts:

    • The beginning of the event will be separate, to allow for people to have some food and socialize.
    • The second part of the event will consist of a few speakers, presenting ideas and information that will help both professionally and religiously. Separate seating will be available for this part.
    • The third part will consist of roundtable discussions. While these will include both genders, the roundtable format will ensure that the conversation remains professional and avoids becoming too social.

Some of the roundtables will be led by women. This is in accordance with the widely accepted psak that men can listen to women present on professional matters. For men who want to avoid partaking of the women’s presentations, there will be other roundtable discussions they can attend.

This structure was developed under the direct guidance of Rav Yitzchak Breitowitz shlita, who is very supportive of this project.

All the food was purchased from places with the Eida Hachareidis. They are not responsible for the actual event.

This entire venue is under the guidance of Rabbi Binyomin Fishman. He is the founder of the LITC, a rebbi in Yeshivas Ohr Somayach and a certified mashgiach kashrus. He can be reached for comments at 0543988038, by email at bfishmanderech@gmail.com or at https://www.linkedin.com/in/binyominbenfishman/
